In December New Age Spa Institute collected toys, cleaning supplies and sanitation products for Wright-Way Rescue, a local animal shelter. The items that were donated came from clients and NASI staff.
“This year instead of doing Secret Santa, we gave donations to the shelter,” Monika Machej, president and founder of NASI said. “Many of us at NASI—including our clients and students—have pets so we know the importance of keeping our furry friends healthy, just like we keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy.”
Because many of the employees who work at NASI are pet owners, the Des Plaines post-grad school wanted to get involved in this cause.
“This was the second time we organized something like this,” Machej said. “The first was such a huge success that we decided it would benefit everyone for us to make it happen again. This also helps us build relationships and show our support to other local businesses.”
Clients who participated in the drive received 30 percent off of facial, body and waxing services during the month of December. As a fully CIDESCO accredited esthetics, accelerated esthetics for medical setting, massage therapy, makeup artistry and nail technology beauty school, client had many different services to choose from.
