This month (and every month) is a time to recognize safety measures we should take to protect our pets and ensure they are healthy. New Age Spa Institute has surprised a local animal shelter, Wright-Way Rescue, in hopes of bringing a better future for the animals currently waiting for adoption.
We have collected much-needed pet care supplies and toys and donated it to the shelter. We want to thank our students and faculty members for their generous donations.
They are other great ways to participate in National Animal Safety and Protection Month. If you aren’t a pet owner you can volunteer at a local animal shelter or become a foster parent and help a pet feel loved until they find their forever home.
This month NASI would like to bring a spotlight to our wonderful pets and their parents:
Ms. Bianca and Oliver
Ms. Ania and Boots & Riley
Ms. Leslie and Sammy & Charlie
Ms. Kasia and Gucci
Ms. Timea and Bunn-Bunn
Ms. Natalia (not pictured) and Lucky (pictured)
Extra spotlight on our rescues…
Here are few words from Ms. Leslie about Sammy & Charlie. Both of them found them forever home with Ms. Leslie.
“Sammy came to me when he was two years old. He has gone to four different homes before he came to our home. He was very sweet quiet and needed a lot of attention. Now he is 12 years old and has not changed his personality, he is just so sweet kind and wants to be loved.
Charlie came from the home of an elderly person. He was a gift to a grandmother but unfortunately, the grandmother could not take care of him. She was in a wheelchair and she wasn’t able to take him out. He was about a year old when the cams to our home with feisty personality and a very sassy attitude. He brings joy to our lives ever since.”
Here is what Ms. Bianca said about her handsome rescue, Oliver.
“Oliver is a certified cuddler with an adventurous spirit. His generosity and big heart are shown when he lends his shoulder for comfort and shares his food and toys with other dogs and cats. He’s a rescue dog, but he’s rescued me and our little family.”
Here is what Ms. Ania said about a rescue pet of her dreams, Boots.
“We adopted Boots from Wright-Way Rescue when he was just 8 weeks old. What fun it has been watching him grow and become a part of our family. He is 10 months old now. Boots seems to have a life mission of annoying his older sister Riley (she is older by 9 years) on daily basis. He makes us laugh so much, especially when he plays with his squeaky toys. He is a happy dog and we can’t ever imagine our lives without him!”
Here are a few words Ms. Timea has to say about her bunny, Bunn-Bunn.
“We found Bunn-Bunn abandoned at the industrial place where my husband worked. The bunny would show up in the same spot, by my husband’s work, at 7 pm every day. We started feeding him and a few weeks later he started trusting us and eating out of our hands. He would let us pick him up, too. We brought him home and he’s been with us ever since. That was more than 7 years ago. We celebrate his birthday every year on the day we brought him home, which is August 11th. He is quite a character. He is potty trained. We never lock him up in his cage so can hop around the house. We love him so much.”
Here is what Ms. Natalia has to say about her lucky dog, Lucky.
“We adopted Lucky from a shelter in 2006. He is such a smart and friendly dog. Although he is 14 years old now he still has plenty of energy and fills our life with excitement on daily basis. It’s funny to watch him, especially when he thinks that he is our guard dog. For 11 years now he has been an important member of our family.”
