Each story is as unique as the student behind it, and today we’re shining a spotlight on one of our inspiring graduates: Isabella “Bella” from Franklin Park, Illinois.
From Struggle to Purpose
From Struggle to PurposeBella’s journey into esthetics began long before she ever stepped foot into NASI’s classrooms. Like many skincare professionals, her path was deeply personal.
“I was inspired to pursue skincare through my own experience with hormonal acne,” she shares. “It started in middle school and really affected my confidence—but it also sparked my curiosity.”
Instead of giving up, Bella dove into learning everything she could about skin health. Through trial and error, she discovered a passion that went beyond the mirror.
“What started as a struggle turned into a passion for wellness,” Bella says. “Skincare isn’t just about appearance—it’s about health, hygiene, and feeling comfortable in your own skin. I want to be the kind of professional who not only provides treatments, but educates and empowers.”
A Year of Double Achievements
2025 was a milestone year for Bella—she graduated from both East Leyden High School and NASI’s Esthetics Program in the same year!
Her background in culinary classes and infection control in high school gave her a strong foundation in hygiene and safety—skills that transferred perfectly into the world of esthetics.
She’s also OSHA-certified and CPR-certified, having renewed her certification through her role at the Franklin Park Recreation Center. There, she ensures sanitation and safety for community events—practical experience that strengthens her professional discipline.

Favorite Treatments: Relax, Rejuvenate, Repeat
When it comes to performing services, Bella loves treatments that combine relaxation with results.
“My favorite service to perform is microcurrent—it’s calming and rewarding to see the benefits. I also enjoy chemical peels, hydrofacials, and epidermal leveling because of the instant glow they bring.”
And when it’s her turn to relax? Bella is all about smooth, radiant skin.
“I love dermaplaning—the results are stunning and long-lasting. And I loved practicing herbology body wraps during school—they left my skin softer and more hydrated than ever!”
Looking Ahead: A Bright Future in Beauty
Now that Bella has graduated from both programs, she’s ready to take the next step—working in a professional spa environment where she can continue to grow her expertise and client care skills.
She’s also considering advancing her education to become an aesthetic nurse, combining her love for beauty with a deeper focus on medical skincare.
“For now, I’m keeping an open mind and exploring my options carefully—making sure every step I take is intentional.”
