Founded by Monika Machej in 2007 during the economic recession, The New Age Spa Institute (NASI) emerged as a beacon of hope and opportunity for aspiring beauty professionals. Monika’s vision was to create a nurturing and empowering educational environment, and despite the struggles of launching a business during an economic downturn, NASI’s consistent growth and ability to adapt have been key to its success.

During a period of economic hardship, NASI had to navigate financial constraints, attract potential students, and establish a reputation for excellence. Through persistent effort, innovative approaches, and a steadfast commitment to quality education, NASI managed to not only survive but thrive, laying the foundation for its ongoing success in changing people’s lives for the better.

How Did Beauty Schools Overcome Economic Challenges to Achieve Success?
Overcoming economic challenges has been a cornerstone of NASI’s journey, with consistent growth and adaptability key to its success. From its inception during a recession to navigating the evolving beauty and wellness industry, NASI has remained committed to quality education, continuously adapting to new trends and technologies. Despite the ups and downs following the economic crisis and pandemic crisis, NASI celebrated the success of hundreds of graduates, underscoring its impact as both an educational institution and a supportive community. Through economic uncertainty and recovery, NASI’s unwavering dedication to student growth and professional development has fostered a legacy of excellence and resilience in the beauty and wellness sector.
How Did NASI Adapt Its Educational Approach During COVID-19 Crisis?
Adapting to overcome obstacles is key for success.
Navigating the COVID-19 crisis posed unprecedented challenges, yet NASI rose to the occasion by providing unwavering support to its students. Video: How NASI adapted infection control to prevent spread of viruses and bacteria.
When the order came down on March 21, 2020, the New Age Spa Institute’s top-tier nationwide educators swiftly mobilized an impressive array of educational resources. Within just 24 hours, we were fully prepared to transition to live virtual webinars. By quickly adapting to online classes and virtual support, NASI ensured education and guidance remained accessible, allowing students to stay on track despite disruptions. The institute continued to offer a comprehensive curriculum, including eye treatments, back facials, eyelash extensions, bodywork (such as body wraps and treatments), and body and facial waxing.
Throughout this challenging period, our students benefited from bonus education at no additional cost. This was particularly valuable during a time of significant social restrictions and heightened mental stress, offering our students not only skill enhancement but also a much-needed engagement during the isolation.
In June 2020, with the partial lifting of restrictions, we were thrilled to provide an additional 6-8 weeks of hands-on education on-site. This extension, offered at no extra cost, ensured that our students did not just meet but exceeded educational expectations, fully preparing them for their state board examination and future careers in esthetics.
