About Antioch, IL
Antioch is a village in the Antioch Township of Lake County, Illinois. Prior to its incorporation, Antioch was inhabited by the Pottawatomi Indian Tribe. In 1832 that the American Indians began to leave the area after fighting wars with the British and American settlers. It was officially founded just prior to the Civil War by the Church of Christ. However, shortly after the Civil War, the town disincorporated, as many of the initial religious settlers moved away. In 1892, Antioch reincorporated as a village, which has been continuous to this day. Antioch is a 45 minute drive from New Age Spa Institute and is the proud home of multiple New Age Spa Institute graduates.
