The International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference (IECSC) Las Vegas, held from June 22-24, was an event packed with excitement and innovation in the skin care industry. Hosted at the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, this year’s show provided a unique experience for all attendees. Here’s a recap of the top highlights you missed if you couldn’t make it to the show this year.
1. New Location!
The IECSC made a grand debut in the stunning West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees traveled through colorfully lit underground tunnels in Teslas from the monorail stop, adding a futuristic touch to the experience. The spacious hall was divided into two main sections: the ground floor housed the show floor and registration, while the second and third floors were dedicated to educational classrooms for both IBS (International Beauty Show) and IECSC. The expansive layout not only facilitated better navigation but also provided ample opportunities for attendees to get their steps in while exploring the latest innovations in skincare and esthetics.
2. Show Floor Highlights!
The show floor was buzzing with activity, featuring some of the top brands in the skincare industry showcasing their latest and most popular products. Here are a few standout booths:
Glo2Facial—their innovative oxygenation treatments for skin rejuvenation attracted much attention, demonstrating the effectiveness of non-invasive facial treatments. Nelly DeVuyst was another crowd favorite at the show, their booth was buzzing with activity! Plus exciting news for the brand too. Known for their cutting-edge aesthetic devices and products, Promoitalia showcased their latest innovations in skin rejuvenation like liquid PDO threads and non-injectable filler for lips. Not to mention, Hydrafacial! Always a crowd favorite, Hydrafacial’s booth was bustling with demonstrations of their multi-step skin treatment, which continues to be a game-changer in the industry. Savanna Boda, the renowned Dallas esthetician from Instagram (@thedallasesthetician), was at the show too! She partnered with several brands to share her valued insights into the industry. Did you hear that @acnemaddie (Acne Specialist—Maddie Holmes) was there as well? She teamed up with Procell Therapies for an exciting session! Highlighting their advanced microchanneling technology, Procell Therapies demonstrated how their treatments can dramatically improve skin texture and tone like acne scars, stretch marks, atrophic scarring, and so much more! One of the most significant aspects of IECSC is the educational opportunities, and this year was no exception. The New Age Spa Institute (NASI) stood out as the only esthetics school continuously invited to teach at IECSC, showcasing their expertise and dedication to advancing esthetics education. Here are the key sessions led by NASI educators:
Aesthetic Considerations: Tailored for Gender-Affirming Clientele by Ms. Bianca: This class focused on integrating esthetic treatments with a deep understanding of hormonal influences, crucial for LGBTQ+ clients undergoing gender affirmation journeys. It emphasized creating inclusive and respectful spaces, ensuring every client feels valued and seen.
Approaches for Sensitive Skin: Updates in Advanced Exfoliation and Sonic Devices by Ms. Ania: This informative session covered diverse revenue streams with chemical peels and post-exfoliation technologies. It provided a comprehensive study of chemical and medical peels, personalized treatment adaptations, and the integration of advanced skincare devices for effective client care.
Cutting Edge Treatments for Skin Disorders: Innovations in Esthetics Technologies by Ms. Monika: This session explored the convergence of technology-enhanced services and advanced skincare formulations for clients with skin disorders. It included an analysis of manual versus device-assisted massage techniques and the integration of modern esthetic devices to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
